The Girolamo Amati Viola in the Galleria Estense - TIVM 1

In this video, violist Stefano Marcocchi plays the exceptionally well preserved contralto viola made by Girolamo Amati, circa 1625, now in the Galleria Estense, Modena, performing the "Intonazione" in F Major for Viola solo Bl. 312 by Alessandro Rolla.
The trailer launched the issue of the first monograph of the series "Treasures of Italian Violin Making", entitled "The Girolamo Amati Viola in the Galleria Estense" and published by Edizioni Scrollavezza & Zanrè in co-operation with Jan Röhrmann.
