Tramonti, Rodolfo

Born in Forlì in 1901, Rodolfo Tramonti was a skilled and prolific luthier whose work was particularly inspired by the most significant representatives of the Romagna school of his time and the previous generation, such as Marino Capicchioni and Arturo Fracassi.

Classical in his choice of models, his taste was typical for the Romagna region, for example in the rounded edges and scroll, which is based on an original model with a slender, low-bellied pegbox reminiscent of the style of Nicola Utili; the varnish is thick and usually of an intense red color.
