The aim which we try to pursue in our daily work is to make a new instrument which may satisfy the requirements of a professional player and respect the best examples of the past. The fundamental condition required to accomplish this is the study of and familiarity with classical instruments.
Each precious example is thus scrupulously investigated from an acoustic and constructive viewpoint, following the teachings of the Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy schools of the 20th century and their efforts to reach an ideal of classicism.
The approach we follow is therefore a natural continuation of what was acquired during the last century in Bologna, Milan and Parma, on the path traced by great masters such as Giuseppe Fiorini, Leandro Bisiach and Gaetano Sgarabotto. Embracing this attitude means appreciating the fact that the exemplary value of the 17th and 18th centuries lutherie does not derive from secrets to be rediscovered today, but from a vital and always different tradition which seeks an ideal balance between the beauty of sound, the perfection of the craftsmanship and the recognition of style.
