Tarasconi, Giuseppe

Born in Parma in 1851, Giuseppe Tarasconi moved to Milan in 1888 where he began to frequent Gaetano Rossi's workshop. Later he opened his own shop in the Lombard capital, where he mainly dealt with repairs and dealing. Occasionally he also collaborated with Leandro Bisiach's atelier, where his son Mirco was later taken as an apprentice.

Tarasconi's style is very personal. The model is slender and with rather short corners; the F-holes model is elongated, with large lower eyes and stems which converge slightly to the bottom. The scroll has a very large, rounded eye and a small, delicate chamfer.
