Orlandini, Archimede

Born in Parma in 1909, he began to take an interest in violin making as a self-taught maker from an early age, but this was an activity that always remained secondary to that he had as a carpenter employed by the Bormioli company, a local glass factory.

Despite being an amateur luthier, Orlandini had a rather abundant production, having been active for several decades. His style is recognizable in his Emilia-Romagna imprint, with a very rounded treatment of the scroll and the edges, small corners and a purfling positioned near the edges.
