Roth Pelitti Bottali

Initially active in the field of wind instruments, this workshop was founded by Ferdinando Roth, who was joined in 1878 by his son-in-law Antonio Bottali and finally in the 1920s by a third partner, Giuseppe Pelitti, who came from a family with a long tradition in musical instrument making - thus forming the Roth, Pelitti, Bottali firm, based in Milan. Romedio Muncher covered from 1919 the role of director of the violin workshop, where student instruments were produced.

These instruments are influenced by the Cremonese and Milanese style of the early twentieth century, and are usually made on a wide and easily recognizable model, with very tilted F-holes and rounded scrolls.
