Danieli, Silvio

Born around 1890 in Bonferraro, in the Veronese area bordering the province of Mantua, Silvio Danieli was making instruments as early as the 1920s, and stated in his labels that he was awarded a gold medal in the 1926 Rome competition; he also branded on the inside with his initials.

The work is very personal: the model is tight, especially in the central part, and the corners are long and projecting outwards; the sound holes are also long, with straight stems and small eyes.
