The exhibition space “La Galleria” opened in June 2026 in Cremona, in the central Piazza Lodi, as a venue for temporary exhibitions. Each of them is dedicated to a historical period a specific maker, or a particular theme.
Serving as a research opportunity for collectors and experts, “la galleria” is designed to engage a broader audience of musicians and enthusiasts in the fascinating historical landscape of Italian violin making. Historical stringed instruments are, in fact, “instruments” through which musicians express their own voice, but they are also precious testaments to a time and the geographical area where they originated. Appreciating their uniqueness thus becomes a source of inspiration for musicians, who, by embracing this expression of the past, bring it to life on stage.
The exhibitions are typically held during “First Saturdays” (the first weekend of the month), and prominent international curators take turns to make each new event a unique experience. For information on upcoming exhibitions, follow #lagalleriascrollavezzaezanre on Instagram or Facebook.
