Elisa Scrollavezza
Andrea Zanrč
Elisa Scrollavezza grew up in constant contact with the workshop environment of her father Renato. In 1991 she graduated at the Parma School of Violin-Making and in 1994 she started assisting her father in tuition.
She has worked as a professional violin-maker since obtaining her diploma, her instruments being appreciated in many parts of the world. In 1996 she received a special mention in the 16th violin making Competition of Bagnacavallo for a viola.
Elisa has refined her knowledge concerning instrument making, repair and set-up in various violin workshops at the VSA-Oberlin conventions; she is also active in organizing similar events in Italy. In 2002 Elisa opened with Andrea Zanrè “Scrollavezza e Zanrè Snc”. Here she devotes herself mainly to the making of new instruments for a clientele of international dealers, collectors and professional musicians. Other activities include the making of replicas, dealing and restoration.
Elisa is a member of VSA and founder member and Secretary of Liuteria Parmense. In 2008 Elisa has been admitted into the Entente Internationale des Luthiers et Archetiers d’Art.
